OVERVIEW
Hook Line & Sinker opened in November 2015 and is based in Westfield Burwood. Building on the reputation of Burwood Plaza Seafoods, Hook Line & Sinker offers a premium seafood experience, whether you're looking for fresh seafood to take home, eat here or a more sophisticated sit down experience at our oyster bar with a selection of Champagne and our carefully selected wines available.

The focus is on freshness, a large variety of options and ensuring that quality is paramount. Sourced fresh daily by our expert family and cooked, filleted or shucked to order, this is seafood the way it should be.

OUR STORY
Sandy and his brother Chris Jnr have been at Burwood for 25 years and in the seafood game for 30 years. They have learned everything there is to know from their father, Chris Snr who started the company over 50 years ago as a small family business. The larger and more spectacular Burwood Plaza Seafoods, was redesigned and doubled its shop front last October 2013.

BEHIND THE SCENES
A typical day for Sandy and his team starts at 3.30am and they work seven days a week. Whilst Christmas trade is enormous with up to four tonnes of prawns and hundreds of lobsters sold, each weekday is busy for cooked to order lunch and dinner. “We have a special oyster bay and shuck all our own oysters on site,” Sandy explained.

Old-fashioned service is the key to success and Burwood Plaza Seafoods won Best Seafood Outlet 2013 at the Inner West Local Business Awards. “Winning our category is wonderful and knowing that our customers appreciate the quality and service is what it’s all about.
